Raymond Albert Carite Jr., 58, was born in New Orleans on June 6th 1955 and went to be with his Father Raymond Albert Carite Sr. on May 28th 2014. Ray graduated from Pasadena High School, became a Heavy Equipment Operator, Welder and made a career of Metal Heat Treating. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his boat, barbequing and spending time in and near the water.
Ray was a fighter... his initial diagnosis, given to him in September 2012, was for only 4 more months of life. He fought for almost 2 more years and the good Lord gave all of us him in our lives. He was able to see his first grandchild born, his son and daughter graduate college, get a puppy, go fishing a few more times, go hunting with his brother and friends and spend quality time with many family members and friends. Although he will not be with us for Candice’s wedding or Father’s day we all know that he is with God looking down upon us proudly.
"My father lost his courageous battle with cancer at around 2:30 the morning of May 28th. As sad and as much as my heart hurts, I do feel relived that he is no longer in pain. My Dad will always be my hero. He taught me many things that I will pass down to my boys. He taught me how to be a man, he taught
~ Angelo Carite.
"The last time I left my father, I kissed his hairless head one last time, I told him that I loved him and I felt peace. To watch Dad suffer was by far the toughest part about this whole thing, and the second is knowing that on my wedding day he won’t get the chance to give me away. It is pretty awesome knowing though that on that day he will be flying high getting a bird's eye view of it all. I miss Dad dearly already, but I am so grateful that his suffering is a thing of the past. I will continue living on, knowing that my Daddy is there with me every step of the way. I love you Dad. Fly high sweet Angel."
~ Candice Carite.
Ray is survived by his mother Rosemary Carite, his wife Lisa Carite, his sister Sue Perez, his brother Richard Carite, his son Angelo Carite, his daughter Candice Carite, his son Luke Carite, his step daughter, Brittany Neal, his step daughter Caitlyn Cook, hid step son Zach Cook, his grandson Jaylen Carite, Bransen Carite and his granddaughters McKenzie Neal and Maddison Neal. He is also survived by the Moscarelli family and so many other family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Second Baptist (3838 Fairway Plaza) in Pasadena with a continued celebration at Angelo Mosccarelli's home following.
God Saw you were getting Tired
God saw you getting tired
when a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped His arms around you,
And whispered, "Come unto me".
You didn't deserve what you went through,
And so He gave you rest.
God's Ocean must be beautiful,
He only takes the best.
So when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful and free from pain.
I could not wish you to come back,
to suffer all that again.

My Dad will always be my hero. He taught me many things that I will pass down to my boys. He taught me how to be a man, he taught
me to be tough, to be a hard worker and to never give up. My Dad taught me how to bait a hook and how to skin a deer. He also taught me to always be grateful for what you have. My best memories of him will be of sitting with him in the deer stand when I was a kid and being on his boat tearing up the Kingfish. My Dad’s last words to me were that it would be OK and that he loved me so much. That showed me right there how much a father can love his son, on his death bed my Dad was comforting me instaead of me telling him not to be afraid. Ray Carite was the strongest man I have ever known. I will do everything to make sure his legacy lives on through my boys. I love you so much Dad. May you finally rest in peace and have no more pain. It’s not good bye, I will see you again one day."
