Stephen Victor Lieb, born February 16th, 1950 in Houston, Texas, passed away Friday, June 10th, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents Francis & Ruth Lieb of Houston. He is survived by his brother Randy, sister-in-law Rowena & nephews Benjamin & William, who he dearly loved. Stephen was a lifetime resident of Houston, and a graduate of Spring Branch High School, Class of 1968. He was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church, where his nephews enjoyed Sunday School & a Happy Meal with their uncle after services. Stephen worked for many years with several of the large moving companies of Texas, and also with Continental Airlines & American Express. Steve was a very social & sentimental person who enjoyed flowers & gardens. He could always recall birthdays and other special dates or events pertaining to most everyone he knew. His appreciation & admiration for all of nature's beauty along with his never ending ability to make friends feel like family will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends on Thursday June 16th, 2011 from 5-8 pm at Beresford Funeral Services located at 13501 Alief Clodine Rd. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Steve was a very thoughtful and loving person who seemed to really love his family and friends. He always wanted to help people whenever they were in need and he will be missed so much by everyone who knew him.

I am sure he is smiling down on us all now and letting us know that he is no longer in pain.

May God bless his soul and may he live in the house of the Lord forever.

We love and miss you, Steve

Steven was a caring and supportive friend. I will miss our phone conversations, which he always ended with, "I love you, Sweetie." He knew that I loved him, too.

Steven invited me to wonderful concerts, and I would pick him up and drive him. He would always compliment me on the perfume I was wearing. Steven liked to come to my home for German food. I had a dinner party on May 21st, but he could not attend as he had to go to Lake Charles for a friend's memorial service. That is the last time I talked to him. He did not answer his phone, nor respond to my messages. It was not like him, and I became very concerned. Sadly, my worst fears have become a reality.

Steven spoke fondly of his family...especially his brother. I send you all my condolences.

I will miss his no-nonsense conversations and his laugh. He was a dear man!

Steve was a friend of mine in which we laughed and told each other stories with good and bad endings. BUT, Steve always looked on the bright side of life. I truly loved him as my best friend. He called me everyday to make sure I was ok, as I am 79 years old. Knowing I loved flowers, Steve bought and planted me 2 rose plants, red and yellow. Now...while I walk out my door, I smile..Steve was a gentleman..I miss him, but know he is in a better place..
May your family, Steve..rest in peace...I miss you alot!!!
Love, Jeanette..your friend from Park Shadows

Stephen was a delightful friend who amazed me with his knowledge of Houston History, roses and just about any subject that came up in a conversation. He was wise and always had good advise when we discussed any topic that was on my mind. He loved his family and when he was with American Express he always brought his Mother to social functions. His brother Randy and Randy's sons and wife were special to him and he held them all in high regard. Often he looked for special gifts for them.
I will miss Steve very much and yes, he's ending line was always, "I love you sweetie." Rest in peace my dear friend.
I love you sweetie. Anne
