Eugene Joseph Shuffield, Sr. was born December 5, 1928, and passed away on July 18, 2021 at the age of 92.
He was a loving companion, devoted father and friend. Gene was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed his motorcycle and the Jiminy Cricket Racing Team. He was a faithful parishoner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
He leaves to cherish his memories: devoted companion, Roya M. Metcalfe, son Eugene J. Shuffield Jr., Paul Wood (Shirley), Alex Wood, Juliana Dearman (David), and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Noel Suffield and Agnes Decamp, his wife, Betty K. Shuffield, and daughter, Lynna Kay Shuffield.
Graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. with a brief visitation prior to service at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery (13102 North Freeway, Houston, TX 77060) with Father Rafa officiating.
The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the doctors and staff at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights hospital (especially Andrew) and Memorial City Health and Rehab, as well as the staffs of Earthman Resthaven and Beresford Funeral Service.
